ANNOUNCEMENT: Danske Invest Emerging Markets Debt Fund (AIF) – Changes in Fund Regulations, Investment Policy and Fees
The Board of Directors of Danske Invest Fund Management Ltd decided in its meeting on 5 December 2024 to amend the Fund Regulations, investment policy, and fees of the Danske Invest Emerging Markets Debt Fund (AIF). The Financial Supervisory Authority approved the changes on 2 January 2025. The Fund Regulations will take effect on 26 March 2025.
As a result of the change in the Fund Regulations, the Danske Invest Emerging Markets Debt Fund (AIF), previously governed by the Act on Alternative Investment Fund Managers, will become an investment fund that meets the requirements of the Finnish Mutual Funds Act. Previously, the fund invested all its assets in the units of a single collective investment undertaking, deviating from the restrictions on investment funds under the Finnish Mutual Funds Act. Following the change in the Fund Regulations, the fund will become UCITS compliant and adhere to the diversification rules set out in the Finnish Mutual Funds Act.
In connection with the change in the Fund Regulations, the aforementioned feeder fund structure will be dissolved, and the fund will be transformed into a UCITS fund, applying the same investment strategy and investing directly in the same portfolio of mainly EUR- and USD-denominated bonds from emerging market countries and companies as the current underlying fund.
The fund will continue to be classified under Article 8 of the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), and the change will not affect the fund's sustainability commitments. Danske Bank Asset Management will remain as the fund's portfolio manager.
Upon the Fund Regulation change coming into effect, the fund's annual total expenses will decrease. The management fees and estimated ongoing charges specific to each unit class are shown in the table below:
Unit class | Annual Management Fee |
Estimated Ongoing Charge |
Danske Invest Emerging Markets Debt Fund - Class A and D |
1.08% (previously 0.60%) |
1.08% (previously 1.30%) |
Danske Invest Emerging Markets Debt Fund - Class W A and W D |
0.70% (previously 0.39%) |

The changes described above do not require any action from the unitholders. The fund management company will inform the unitholders about the changes on its website at www.danskeinvest.fi. Unitholders have the right to redeem or switch their units to those of another fund managed by Danske Invest Fund Management Ltd without redemption fees by 25 March 2025.
